Given the current situation with the Omicron covid variant, we have reluctantly decided we can not go ahead with the planned performances of Cinderella at the end of January/start of February and all advertised dates are cancelled.
Work on the script was started back in July and the cast have been rehearsing and developing their parts since early October, so you can see this isn’t a decision we’ve taken lightly. However, the priority must be everybody’s health and safety, cast, crew and our audiences. Whilst we’d love to be able to go ahead with performances at the end of January, it simply isn’t sensible to do so.
Many people have already put a lot of work into the production though – not just the cast but our backstage crew as well. Our wonderful wardrobe ladies have already made a lot of the costumes, our musicians have been practising, and the cast of course have learned most of their lines already. We don’t want any of that to go to waste so we hope to be able to perform Cinderella later in the year – hopefully at Easter.
Whenever Cinderella does go ahead, we hope you’ll be able to come along, support us and of course have a great time.
